Mystery Trip!

Mr. Indi is starting to feel a little better - at least his taste buds have started to work again and food has started to become enjoyable once more. However, he is still very tired and needs to get off his feet two or three times a day.

We went to "King's Fish House" for lunch because his Lordship was craving their wonderful tuna salad - which he scarfed - and I fancied some fried oysters - which were delicious. After lunch we went for a drive and took a route we have never taken before by driving east on Temescal Canyon Rd. Wow - I had always wondered where Lake Matthews was (I've seen it on maps but could never find it!) and after we climbed a rather steep hill - Viola - there it was! It's a very pretty lake but is a Water District reservoir and there is no recreational access. The road wound round the lake for a few miles and finally ended up in a very familiar part of Riverside and from there we were only about 10 miles from home. What a nice little trip it was.

The picture is one I took at Lake Arrowhead a couple of months ago.
