French Beer! Yum!

The visit to the doctor's went fairly well - apart from Mr. Indi's blood pressure which had gone through the roof for some unknown reason. His PSA is still going down - now reading 86.6 and his blood is in good shape - hemoglobin 9.7 and hematocrit 28.6 - so chemo is scheduled for Monday morning at 9a.m. sharp. The good numbers also mean that we can go away for the weekend without having to worry about transfusions or other such rubbish!

After the docs, we went to the World Market and stocked up on that lovely Barrie's Irish tea that I have to have every morning. We also had a poke through the imported beers and bought a 6 pack of one we have never tried before. It's called Fischer Amber Ale and is imported from Alsace in France - where Mr. Indi's great grandfather lived before emigrating to the USA in 1872. We sampled a bottle with our dinner last night and it is quite delish. However at 6% alcohol, I don't think we shall be drinking too many!

For lunch, we stopped in Chili's and were happy to see all of our favorite waitresses. They are such a fun and happy group of people - it's always a pleasure to see them and to catch up with news of their new babies - Ahhhh!

Mr. Indi is back at work today and hoping to get caught up on all of his projects before we take off tomorrow for Santa Barbara. We are really looking forward to getting away from this awful heat ( yesterday was 104F) and soaking up some ocean breezes. We are also planning to swing by the Santa Barbara Mission and snap some pics.

Today's picture is a flower - I think a hibiscus? - that I snapped at the San Gabriel Mission.
