The little chapel is very plain but very sweet. I would think that the Asistencia is a lovely place to have a wedding. I was only able to take one photo though as the smell of the candles caused me to have another of my choking fits! Grrr!
The little museum is full of very old dioramas. I thought this one was was quite lovely and the mountains in the background are very realistic.
After our little tour of the Asistencia, we went on a round-about drive through the posh section of Redlands looking for Prospect Park where there is supposed to be a lovely mansion. Well, we found the park - well hidden to keep the riff raff out, I suppose - but the mansion and gardens were closed to the public. Pfft! Still, we had a nice walk around the park - not a soul about - so peaceful - and I was able to get some nice flower pics which will be posted in the future. I liked this arbor with a vine growing up each of its 6 legs.
We went back to the Gourmet Pizza Shoppe for lunch - Mr. Indi was craving some more of that yummy stuff. He had a pizza called Tequila Sunrise! It was chock-a-block with scrambled egg, bacon, sausage and green chilies - kinda like an omelet on a pizza crust! I had a pizza called No Kissing Tonight - guess what it was? Yes, pesto, chopped garlic, red onions, feta cheese and tomato - bloody luxury! After lunch, we took a walk around the shops and ended up at the Royal Falconer - an English pub - or so it says! It was OK and we spent a pleasant hour people watching and looking at the Olympics on a big tele.
Unfortunately, our day ended with Mr. Indi feeling very ill. He has been up most of the night and is resting in bed as I type. I hope he feels better soon.
