Learning the shots!

Mr Indi went to the docs this morning so that Helen - the R.N. - could teach him how to give himself the Procrit injections. Yes - he will have to do it himself!

He was quite pleased with himself when he came back home. He said the shot was quite painless as it is a very short needle. Helen gave him the shot in his belly but said that he could do it in his thigh, arm, or bum....(a bit awkward I would think!) Anyway, she just grabbed a handful of belly fat and layed the needle down next to the skin and pooof - done.

Mr. Indi being the person that he is.......thinks that the used syringes will be good for holding modeling glue for the 1/48th scale Gloster Gladiator MK ll that he is building. I ask you?

Someone turned the heat up today and it has reached 104F (40C) this afternoon. This means the house is closed up and all the blinds are drawn to keep the sun at bay. I have been enjoying a quiet hour's worth of knitting the baby blanket that I'm making for Stella. It's a lovely lemon yellow - very restful.

When I bought the yarn at the craft store the other day, the cash register/computer went belly up and I had to wait for about ten minutes to pay for the yarn. For my inconvenience, the store clerk gave me a coupon for 25% off any purchase this weekend.......I just might have to go back there....smile!

I just took the pic above about a half an hour ago. This will be the only day of the year that the cactii are pretty!
